Roadworks to shut two Taunton roads
Somerset Council will close two roads in Taunton to carry out surface repairs this month. Inspections of local roads earlier this year suggested that Priory Avenue and Mountway Road needed extensive carriageway repairs.
To carry out the work both roads will need to close. Closures will be as follows:
- Priory Avenue 6 – 10 November – evening works 6pm to 11.30pm
- Mountway Road 27 – 30 November – daytime 7.30 – 6.00pm
The work on Mountway Road will effect bus services too. Buses that usually use Mountway Road, including those to and from the Silk Mills Park & Ride, will follow a diversion route, which will add a few minutes to journey times.
Somerset Council say they will put diversions in place during the works. If you use these roads at these times, please plan to give yourselves more time for your journey(s).
