Motorcyclist dies in A361 collision
A motorcyclist died on the A361 between Taunton and Street in the early hours of this morning (5 October). Police were called to what they describe as “a single vehicle collision” at 3.20am. The man in his 50’s was pronounced dead at the scene. His family have been notified and are being supported by a family liaison officer.
The A361 was closed while emergency services attended the scene and enquiries were carried out. It has since been reopened.
Police are keen to speak with anyone who was travelling along the A361. They would like to hear from you if you witnessed the collision or saw anything around the time of the incident. They would like to talk to anyone who used the road between late yesterday evening (Wednesday 4 October) and 3.30am this morning. We have asked for more specific information on the location of the incident.
They are also keen to hear from anyone who has dashcam footage from around that time in the area.
