SWR strikes – no Somerset service
Industrial action by members of the ASLEF and RMT unions will take place on 26,27 August and 1, 2 September. SWR have confirmed that on 26 August there will be no SWR services in Somerset. That means no trains at Templecombe, Crewkerne and Yeovil Junction on SWR routes. We have yet to have confirmation of the impact of strikes from GWR.
On 27 August, there will be no services before 7am. However following 7am a normal Sunday service is expected to run.
No firm decision has been taken on services for 1 September and 2 September. SWR have said they expect “a significantly reduced service will operate on a limited number of lines”. That usually translates as no service in Somerset.
