Two charge with Yeovil school theft

Two people from Shepton Mallet have been charged with theft from a school in Yeovil.

Westfield Academy School was broken into on Sunday 11 June. Tyler Singer, 21, and Grace Brownhill, 18 both of Shepton Mallet have been charged in connection with the burglary.

Singer appeared at Yeovil Magistrates Court on Saturday 12 August. He was bailed until his next hearing at the same court on Tuesday 26 September. He has been charged with a non-dwelling burglary, taking a vehicle without consent, and driving without insurance.

He is also charged with driving whilst otherwise in accordance with a licence. The Leveller understands that this refers to a provisional licence-holder driving without L plates or supervision.

Brownhill is on bail and will make her first appearance at Yeovil Magistrates Court on Tuesday 12 September. She will face charges of non-dwelling burglary and being a passenger in a stolen vehicle.
