Crewkerne: roadworks on Station Road

A section of Station Road, Crewkerne will be closed for roadworks this month. The road will close on the A356 along South Street and Station Road in Crewkerne next week.
Resurfacing work is due to start on Monday 14 August and will last for three days. The road will need to be closed between 9:30am and 3:30pm until Wednesday 16 August so the work can be completed.
Access for residents and businesses in the immediate area will be maintained throughout. A signposted diversion will be put in in place for other traffic.
Somerset Council has been targeting the summer holidays for road repairs when the road are less busy. Using a daytime closure should allow the work to be completed safely and more rapidly. The council say the road is in urgent need of repair.
