Man jailed for CBO breaches

Thomas Crosbie appeared at Taunton Magistrates’ Court yesterday (Wednesday 8 February).
The 44-year-old man admitted 13 breaches of the criminal behaviour order (CBO) within a 6 week period. The CBO was put in place to prevent antisocial behaviour. The original CBO was issued in 2018 following public order incidents. These included thefts and aggressive begging.
The conditions included not to enter specified parts of Taunton town centre between 8.30am and 6pm. Also not to enter named retail premises. Crosbie admitted when in court this week he had breached the order multiple times.
Crosbie, of no fixed abode, was jailed for 12 months.
So we jailed a beggar. Not sure i would feel really proud of that. I would be actually thinking, how did society; us fail this human being.
