Racial abuse at Yeovil Town

Avon & Somerset Police are appealing for witnesses after a player was racially abused at Huish park. During Saturday’s (3 September) game against York City, a York player was racially abused. Police say the offenders were sat in the Screwfix Stand. As part of the police inquiry a recording of the incident which was posted online has been reviewed. It has since been taken down.

Police are now in touch with both clubs as well as North Yorkshire Police. The player at which the abuse was directed at will be spoken to by officers and offered support.
