SWR disruption due to strike action

Following GWR’s announcement earlier today, SWR have announced their timetabling during next week’s strike. They are urging people to only to travel by rail if absolutely necessary between 18 and 21 August.
SWR will run a severely reduced service on Thursday 18 August and Saturday 20 August. Significant parts of the network will be closed entirely. This will include services through Crewkerne, Yeovil Junction and Templecombe.
Where reduced services do run it will only be between 07:15 and 18:30 on a limited number of routes.
Customers are also urged only to travel if absolutely necessary on Friday 19 and Sunday 21 August. Trains will be disrupted due to the impact on services and rolling stock during strike days. First trains will start much later than usual across the network on the 19 and 21 and are likely to be very busy.
SWR say they will not be affected by the planned ASLEF strike action on Saturday 13 August. However some other train companies will be, so customers should check before they travel.
