Hayesdown First School – an apology
In the 15 July edition of The Leveller there is a short article about an Ofsted inspection of Hayesdown First School. This is incorrect.
On the same site there is an “early years provider” and a First School both with the address Hayesdown First School, Wyville Road, Frome, Somerset BA11 2BN. However they are independent of each other, run and managed by different staff.
One is Hayesdown First School itself, the other is Opportunity Group Frome & District, an early years provider.
In our article we omitted the line “Opportunity Group Frome & District”. Unfortunately this was critical as our article gave the impression the inspection report was on Hayesdown First School. This was incorrect. The inspection report was in fact on Opportunity Group Frome & District, Hayesdown First School, Wyville Road, Frome, Somerset BA11 2BN.
We reported on the story as the Ofsted report was “Inadequate”. That report related to Opportunity Group Frome & District, Hayesdown First School, Wyville Road, Frome, Somerset BA11 2BN.
It did not relate to Hayesdown First School. Hayesdown first school has a “good” Ofsted given at the last inspection in December 2018. You can see the Ofsted inspection report for Hayesdown First School by clicking on the link below:
