Police ask for help after Bridgwater assault

Avon & Somerset Police are asking the public for help to solve another assault in Bridgwater. A 19-year-old man was assaulted in Cranleigh Gardens at around 11pm on Saturday 21 May. The man was stabbed. He was taken to hospital, where he was later discharged.

Officers believe there were five offenders. Two men, aged 18 and 22, have been arrested and released on conditional bail. Officers are still trying to identify three other men suspected of being involved. All are described as being in their late-teens or early-20s, were wearing dark balaclavas or face coverings. Several offenders were also believed to be riding bikes.

Police believe this was an isolated incident and there is not thought to be any increased danger to the public.
