Mendip to offer new grants for hospitality
Mendip District Council has another £250,000 in grant aid to administer. The money is for businesses who have been impacted by the pandemic. Primarily it is expected to be used for hospitality businesses.
The Covid 19 Additional Restrictions Grant (ARG) for businesses is now open for applications. The window to apply for discretionary funding will close at midnight on Friday 4 February. Please be advised that high demand is expected!
However please note that some sectors are excluded from these grants. Gyms, exercise and dance studios, retail, golf courses, personal care services are excluded.
In addition there is also an Omicron Grant available for the hospitality industry. The Omicron Grant application is also now live for companies registered for business rates in Mendip. You must have been trading as of 30 December in Hospitality, Leisure and Tourism.
MDC ask that whichever grant you apply for please try not to contact them for general progress updates. Please follow the instructions online. This will allow them to process large volumes of applications quickly and efficiently.
