Clark’s failed to pay minimum wage
Government today named and shamed employers for not paying the minimum wage.
A list of 208 businesses was published this evening. The 208 employers failed to pay their workers £1.2 million in breach of National Minimum Wage (NMW) law. That left around 12,000 workers out of pocket.
Included on the list was Street based Clark’s. According to the report “C. & J. Clark International Limited (Voluntary Arrangement), trading as Clarks, Mendip, BA16, failed to pay £4,811.38 to 106 workers.”
