Can you identify Yeovil “robber”

Avon & Somerset Police are appealing to the public for help after an incident in Yeovil. Police were contacted by staff at a bank in Middle Street at just after 2pm yesterday (26 November).

Staff say a man walked into the branch and made threats to carry out a robbery there, before leaving on foot. Officers attended the scene and conducted a search of the area but found nothing. CCTV enquiries have been carried out and Police have identified a male they wish to talk to. He’s described as white, in his late-30s or early-40s, of a slim build and estimated to be just under 6ft. He is seen wearing dark clothing, a beanie-style hat and also carried a black rucksack (see below).

Police would like to hear from anyone who saw the man. Did you see how he travelled after leaving the bank? Did you see anything suspicious around the bank at that time? Were you driving in the area and have relevant dashcam footage? Witnesses who haven’t yet spoken to police are asked to call 101 and give reference number 5221278565.

Update: Police have arrested a man and requested the photo be removed
