Yeovil armed robbery

Avon & Somerset Police are appealing for witnesses after an armed robbery took place in Yeovil this morning. Police received a call at about 7.45am to say an armed robbery had just occurred. The robbery took place at a shop in Wessex Road on the North side of town just off Larkhill Road. Suspects entered the store and made off with a quantity of cash. Police also say that two males were seen making off from the store in the direction of Greenwood Road.

Officers attended the scene and conducted a search of the area. Unfortunately nobody matching the suspects’ description was found. Please be aware that CCTV and house-to-house enquiries are underway.

The neighbourhood team has been made aware. Extra extra reassurance patrols will be conducted by the Police in the area.
