Glastonbury open day

The first community-focused open day about the Glastonbury Town Deal projects will be held on 1 October. This follows the submission last month of the confirmation paperwork for the 12 projects. Remember Glastonbury is looking for £23m from the Town Deal. So now the final detailed business cases required by the government for each of the projects are coming together.

Part of this process involves developing the project proposals into detailed plans. As a result, each of the projects will hold open day events over the coming months. The idea is to get the local community to help shape their projects.

The first event will focus on the St Dunstan’s House Community and Wellbeing Centre. This project aims to provide a Covid-secure hub. Here local community groups and organisations can meet, learn and do business. They in turn will help to grow the local economy, reduce deprivation, and improve health and wellbeing.

Organised by Glastonbury Town Council, the open day will be at St Dunstan’s House, 4pm until 7pm, on 1st October. Then again from 10am until 12 noon on Saturday 2nd October.
