Fatal accident at Podimore
Please note that the A303 remains closed eastbound between Ilchester and Podimore. The road is closed to allow emergency services attend the scene of a single vehicle collision. The incident happened at about 9.20 this morning (Thursday 9 September). The road has been closed since then.
Motorists are urged to avoid the area for the rest of today.
Avon & Somerset Police have confirmed that, sadly, a man in his 60s has died. His family have been informed. They are being supported by specially trained officers.
