Incident “near Paulton”

Avon & Somerset Police are appealing to the public for witnesses following an incident. A man in his 40’s was found injured near Paulton in the early hours of Sunday 30 May. He was found at around 1.47am by an ambulance crew on Paulton Road, approximately halfway between Farrington Gurney and Paulton. He had sustained head injuries.

The man was taken to hospital where he remains in a serious condition. His family have been notified and are being offered support.

The Police have no immediate clues as to how he came to be injured. They say they are keeping an open mind as to how he came by his injuries. As yet they have no reason to believe the circumstances were suspicious.

Police are keen to hear from anyone who may have witnessed what happened to him. Police believe he was picked up by a white BMW from The Lamb Inn, Paulton just before midnight. They would like to speak to the driver.
