Yeovil Centre gets Arts fund money

Yeovil’s Westland Centre has secured a Government grant from the Culture Recovery Fund. This was the final set of grants from the “First Round of the Culture Recovery Fund”. It is not, as yet clear how many rounds there will be.

The Westlands Centre was granted £33,133. What was interesting is that the award was for Westlands in its capacity as a cinema.

The centre hosts a number of cultural events and films, alongside shows and live music are definitely part of what it does. However films are not a large part of what the centre does. It also derives a lot of its revenue from banquets, conferencing and business related activities.
