Robbery in Frome

Avon & Somerset Police are appealing for help after a convenience store was robbed in Vallis Way, Frome. The incident happened around 12.30 this afternoon (14 February). A man entered the shop, threatened staff with a knife and then made off with a quantity of cash. Thankfully no-one was injured in the incident.

Police were called to the store, believed to be the McColls shop on Vallis Way, and are conducting enquiries. They are also looking at CCTV footage from the store and the area around.

The robber is described as approximately 35-40 years old. He was wearing a black raincoat, black trousers, sports sunglasses a white mask and disposable gloves. He also had a pair of grey trainers on, with white soles, and was seen walking with a distinctive gait.
