First Somerset COVID 19 site in Yeovil

Last week we reported on a new initiative to speed up COVID 19 vaccinations. Pharmacy sites throughout the south west were set up to administer vaccinations. Everywhere except Somerset.

Following our report, we have news of the first pharmacy site in Somerset, announced today. It is at Morrisons in Yeovil. The site has been set up in two marquees within the Morrisons car park, on Lysander Road in Yeovil.

The pharmacy site, is managed by Pharmacy2U, the UK’s largest online pharmacy. It will deliver pre-booked vaccination appointments between 8am and 8pm, seven days a week. In order for the vaccination to be delivered safely Pharmacy2U have increased their workforce. They are ensuring social distancing will be adhered to on site.

On arrival at the new pharmacy site at Morrisons, people will be greeted by marshals who will ask them to park and wait to be called for the vaccination.

People in the highest priority groups will be sent a letter by the NHS. They will be invited to book their jab through the national booking service by phone, or online. As ever please do not call your GP. You will be called or written to when it is your turn.
