Renewed appeal after Wrantage crash
Avon and Somerset police have issued an updated statement this morning. This follows of a fatal collision on the A378 on the Taunton side of Wrantage. One witness, the Police had hoped to speak to, a nurse, has now contacted them.
The collision involving a Mitsubishi Fuso lorry and a Ducati M1200 motorbike. It happened at around 11.40am on Saturday 12 December.
The nurse had tried to save the life of the motorcyclist, a 33-year-old man from the Taunton area. Sadly he was pronounced dead at the scene. Collision investigations officer Dai Nicholas told us “Our thoughts and sympathies go out to the man’s family. They continue to be supported by a specially trained liaison officer at this difficult time.”
However the Police are still looking for witnesses who have not yet come forward. Anyone who saw the incident is asked to call 101 and give reference number 5220278735.
