Somerton hit and run

An 89-year-old woman was injured after a car collided with her in Somerton. The incident happened near the entrance to the town centre car park. Around 10.20 in the morning last Friday (4 December) the woman was walking along West Street.

The car collided with her as it exited the car park. It was a dark coloured SUV. The driver was white, between 50 and 60 years old. Police tell us he was wearing a Fedora hat with a yellow feather in it. He did not leave his details at the scene and after speaking with witnesses, drove off.

The woman suffered leg injuries and a broken bone in her hand but is recovering well.
