Criminal damage Wincanton. Police appeal for witnesses
Following unspecified criminal damage at Wincanton Sports Ground, Police are asking for witnesses to come forward. The Police also would like to hear from witnesses to a second incident at an address in a nearby residential area. Both occurred between 10pm on Tuesday 15 September and 6am the following morning.
Do you live in the Moor Lane or Coomon Road area? Did you see anything? Do you have CCTV footage of the area?
Local PCSO Matt Whelan notes that “At this time we are keeping an open mind whether the two incidents are linked. We are appealing for anyone with CCTV in the Moor Lane or Common Road areas to please come forward and contact us. That footage may have captured the individual or individuals involved and prove invaluable to our investigation. Anyone with CCTV footage, or who saw anybody acting suspiciously in the area, is asked to report it online or call 101 and give reference number 5220210463.”
