Witness appeal after A38 collision, Bridgwater

Avon & Somerset Police are appealing for the public to help after a collision in Bridgwater. The incident happened last Tuesday, 25 August. A man in his 20s was crossing the A38, at the junction with Union Street at about 6.50pm. A car collided with him after which he required hospital treatment. Although he injured his wrist and knee, he has since been discharged.

The car failed to stop and fled the scene. Police tell us it was a Honda Civic, about 10-11 years old, and was mostly black with a red bonnet.

Anyone who saw the incident or has dashcam footage showing what happened is asked to come forward calling 101 or by providing the information online at www.avonandsomerset.police.uk/report giving collision tracker reference number 2020/3325.

Police have also said they would like to speak to the driver of a white SUV that was seen in the area as its driver may have witnessed the collision.
