War medals stolen – Ilminster
A property in Ilminster was broken into on Thursday 6 August. Police believe entry into the property was forced by the perpetrators. It was unoccupied at the time thieves gained entry, somewhere between 10am and 5pm. Jewellery and other valuable items, including war medals belonging to a relative of the owner were taken.

Avon & Somerset Police are conducting house to house enquiries in the neighbourhood as their investigation continues. PC Anthony Warren said of the items: “Many of them have great sentimental value and the family are desperate for them to be returned. We’d ask anyone who saw what happened, has seen the items pictured, or spotted an old-style red Jaguar that was seen in the area, to get in touch with us online or on 101, giving reference number 5220176560.”
