high value bikes stolen in Somerset

Avon & Somerset Police are appealing for help after several valuable cycles were stolen from the village of Priddy, in the Mendip Hills above Wells.

The bikes were all mountain bikes. The six mountain bikes are believed to be worth around £25,000. they inlcuded a LOOK 785 Huez, a specialized P3 and a Deviate Guide Mountain Bike.

Police believe this was a carefully targeted attack. A chainsaw was also stolen.

They were stored in a garage and were stolen overnight between the hours of 8pm on Monday 3 August and 8am on Tuesday 4 August. The thief(thieves) removed roof tiles from the garage roof in order to gain access and open the door from the inside.

The Police are asking anyone with information that could help to come forward and contact them on 101, quoting reference 5220174130.
