Assault on officer in Glastonbury

An Enforcement Officer was assaulted in Glastonbury on Saturday 1st August.

The incident happened at around 11 in the morning on Stonedown Lane, Glastonbury, to the east of the main part of the town. The Officer saw a camper van parked on double yellow lines by the side of the road. The Officer approached the vehicle. There was a confrontation following which the Enforcement Officer was pushed into a hedge.

A 31-year-old man from the Knowsley area of Merseyside has been interviewed on a voluntarily basis about the incident. Police enquiries are ongoing.
