Accident near Long Sutton
A road traffic accident on the A372 just on the Langport side of the Lime Kiln Inn was reported this morning. The accident happened just after 10am. One vehicle overturned and the other sustained damage to the front of the vehicle. The fire service attended the incident and the road was closed to allow them to do their work and to clear the vehicles safely.The A372 has since reopened (as of 12.30pm).
One female has been taken to hospital .
A 33-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol and drugs, as well as possessing a class B drug. He has been released under investigation.
