Glastonbury incident: 2 charged
Avon & Somerset Police confirm that two men have been charged with attempted murder. This follows an incident in Glastonbury earlier this week.
A male pedestrian was injured in a collision with a vehicle at about 12.10pm on Tuesday (2 June) in Pound Close. Pound Close is a suburban street leading from the town centre to the ring road.
The pedestrian was taken to hospital where he remains in a critical, but stable, condition.
Three people were arrested by Dorset Police later that day.
Joe Parkinson, 23, and Abdirahman Boos, 28, have both been charged with attempted murder.
Parkinson has also been charged with two counts of driving while disqualified.
Both men, of no fixed address, have been remanded in custody.
They will appear before Taunton Magistrates Court today (Thursday 4 June).
The 20-year-old woman who we reported was arrested with them has been on been released. She is released under investigation on suspicion of attempted murder.
