One of the victims of the COVID-19 emergency has been the religious observation of Easter. However as long as you have access to the internet – and if you haven’t you won’t be reading this anyway, there are options.
The Royal College of Church Music in Winchester offer a whole host of resources, including a hymn for the day, a live broadcast of Easter evensong.
There’s also a facility to get your choir together remotely and practise with sheet music. All their resources can be found at: https://www.rscm.org.uk/online-resources/
Meanwhile Somerset’s Cathedral of Wells will be live streaming services over Easter weekend. Again if you would like to take part you can find all the details here: https://www.wellscathedral.org.uk/worship/live-streamed-services/
They also have a series of video and audio webcasts to listen online. All designed to be relevant for Easter they are performed by the choristers of the cathedral and can be found here: https://www.wellscathedral.org.uk/music/webcasts/
