SSDC fast off the blocks

It is just over one week since the launch of government grants for small businesses. Grants for businesses receiving small business rates relief, rural rates relief and those in the hospitality trade are available.

South Somerset District Council received £41.44m from government to fund these schemes.

Up to and including the Thursday (9 April) next distribution they will have distributed a total of £5,500,000. That is money desperately needed by small businesses across the district.

And nearly 10% inside a fortnight is by any measure a fast start.
