First deaths in Somerset confirmed
News just released from Musgrove Hospital in Taunton confirms the first deaths from coronavirus in Somerset. A spokesman for Taunton and Somerset NHS Foundation Trust said:
“Sadly, we can confirm that three people who were being cared for at Musgrove Park Hospital, and had tested positive for COVID-19, have died. All three patients had underlying health conditions.
Their families have been informed about the cause of death and are following national guidance.
Our thoughts and condolences are with their families and friends at this difficult and distressing time. Out of respect for their privacy we will not be commenting further.”
