Sedgemoor cancels meetings
Sedgemoor District Council announced this morning it is to cancel all meetings until further notice.
A spokesperson for the council told us this “Follows government and Public Health England advice against the spread of the Covid-19 virus“
All meetings and gatherings of the council are cancelled until further notice.
The council go on to advise that everyday/routine business at Sedgemoor will continue, but by virtual and technological means. If people need to contact the council they are asked to do so via www.sedgemoor.gov.uk or by telephone 0300 303 7800
All visitors to Reception at Bridgwater House will be asked to follow hand washing procedures.
We are told that alternative arrangements for democratic processes will be put in place. As of now, there are no details as to what those arrangements will be.
