Somerton by-election
It hardly seems as if it has been a year since Somerton Town Council was elected. And that is because it hasn’t.
The elections last May provided a brand new council. But since then we’ve already seen a co-option and now there is to be an election too.
The election will take place on Thursday 6th February.
There are two candidates for the one vacancy and the candidates are as follows:
Vince Holland
Peter Kevin Richardson
It is always good to see a proper election rather than co-option. In fact now that Somerton is a “quality” council they need as many “elected” councillors as possible to keep that quality status.
Somerton residents are urged to turn out and vote!
