Police appeal after serious accident on A37
Avon & Somerset Police are appealing to the public to come forward if they witnessed an accident near Shepton Mallet. This was a serious road traffic collision heading north along the A37 from Shepton Mallet towards Oakhill. The incident happened yesterday (Wednesday 19 June) shortly after 11am when a Chevrolet Matiz was travelling southbound and a Rover 111 northbound.
Police believe that the Matiz crossed the centre of the road and was in a head-on collision with the Rover. The woman driver of the Rover and two men who were in the Matiz all suffered potential life changing injuries and remain in hospital.
