Sedgemoor District Council produced the least dramatic results of the latest round of District Council elections in Somerset. Which will be a relief for Somerset Conservatives who retain control of this council, the only one they have left in Somerset (aside from the County Council which was not up for election this year).
Labour picked up a couple of new seats but the biggest winners were the LibDems who picked up 6 new seats to take their total to 7.
The full result was as follows:
2019 result | ||
Conservative | 28 | 35 |
Labour | 12 | 10 |
Lib Dem | 7 | 1 |
UKIP | 0 | 2 |
Independent/no party | 1 | 0 |
