Theft from Crewkerne antique centre
Avon & Somerset Police are belatedly appealing for witnesses following a break in at an antiques shop in South Street, Crewkerne. Police attended after receiving reports of an alarm going off in the early hours of 1st March.
The thieves forced their way into the property and a number of cabinets containing antiques had been damaged.
A number of pocket watches, wrist watches and chains were taken.
The Police are now asking local second hand shops and jewellers to be vigilant and they would like to hear from anyone who may have been offered this sort of item recently, especially if it was not from a shop or a dealer.
