Call for work

There is something a bit special about Somerset Art Weeks. Not just the fact that it is one of just a handful of organisations in our county to get the recognition for its success with support from a 3 year grant from the Arts Council. Though that is no mean achievement. No what is special is that 2019 will mark the 25th anniversary of the two week long celebration of all that is wonderful in the Somerset arts scene.
This year the festival will run for the fortnight from Saturday 21st September to Sunday 6th October. What will not be changing is the diverse programme of exhibitions, events and workshops in over 100 locations across Somerset, alongside exciting new commissions, group shows and education projects executed by over 300 artists.
And with all that in mind this week Somerset Art Works are making a call for entries for the 2019 festival. You are eligible to take part if you are an artist member of Somerset Art Works but also schools, art groups and businesses are actively welcome to participate in the festival.
Participants will feature in the free colour guide to the festival, they usually print in excess of 40,000 of these for distribution around Somerset and neighbouring counties.
Feature in a free, full colour guide – 40,000 copies of which will be distributed throughout Somerset and beyond. Participation will introduce your work to a new audience, the festival has a growing reputation with the public both locally and regionally and SAW carries out an active publicity campaign prior to the festival fortnight.
