Savour the flavour?
South Somerset District Council is launching a new event to promote local food retailers and producers to show off the best of what Somerset has to offer. Savour the Flavour will be launched in Wincanton at the end of March as a one-day event in the Memorial Hall and around the Town Centre.
South Somerset’s agricultural heritage is rich with traditional family farms, agricultural businesses, processors and retailers. Today this is in the diverse range and size of local food businesses from Harrys Cider down the road from Leveller Towers, Brown and Forrest Smokery, the ABP abattoir to internationally known brands such as Oskar Mayer in Chard.
