Evercreech man charged with assaults
Readers may recall we put out an appeal from Avon and Somerset Police a couple of months ago following several reports of sexual assaults in Street and Shepton Mallet.
Today they have announced that a 36-year old Evercreech man is due to appear in court tomorrow (Monday 24th December), charged with sexually assaulting three different women.
Mark John Butcher of Bowns Close is due to appear at Taunton Deane Magistrates Court.
He has been charged with three counts of sexual assault. This relates to incidents on: 5th June in Somerton Road, Street; on 19th July in Cannards Grave, Road, Shepton Mallet; and 31st August in Dark Lane, Shepton Mallet.
