Langport Stores wins national award

If you read our article in the December edition of The Leveller, you’ll know The Langport Stores had been shortlisted for an award for their window displays. Save The High Street ran a nationwide competition to find the best dressed shop window. And Langport Stores were one of just 20 retailers across the UK to make it onto the shortlist and the only one in Somerset.

SaveTheHighStreet.org was set up in 2016 with the aim of supporting high streets across the country by empowering local shopkeepers. And the award for the best shop window was part of their initiative. And what with Langport Stores getting shortlisted it was all pretty exciting.

Well they’ve only gone and won it. Today it was announced they won the award for the Judges Vote (jointly with Pippin Gifts). Huge congratulations to John and Jason Rice-Lewis for putting Langport and Somerset on the UK’s retailing map.
