Witness appeal following robbery in Bridgwater

Avon & Somerset police are appealing for witnesses after a 23-year-old man was robbed. The man was walking along the canal path in Bridgwater near Brodway. He was walking in the direction of Wembdon, close to the Morrisons store, at about 7am on Friday (14th December) when he was approached by two men on bikes.

One of the men grabbed the victim and threw him to the floor. The second man threatened him with a knife.

The offenders took the victim’s wallet and heading off towards Taunton Road.

Police have issued descriptions of both offenders.

The first was wearing a black hooded top with the hood over his face. He was about 5ft 6ins to 5ft 7ins, of skinny build, in his mid-twenties and possibly riding a dark coloured BMX.

The second offender was wearing a similar hooded top, was around the same height, also skinny and riding a small dark coloured BMX.
