Strike action this weekend

South Western Railway has published service information to cover the latest RMT industrial action planned for Saturday 3rd November which you can find at https://www.southwesternrailway.com/plan-my-journey/rmt-industrial-action

Around half of SWR’s normal Saturday services will run. Rail replacement services and ticket acceptance on other bus and rail networks have also been organised where possible.

Fans attending the England International rugby match against South Africa are advised to plan travel in advance and allow extra time for journeys as services will be busier than usual.

There will be 12 South Western Railway trains per hour between Waterloo and Twickenham. There will be one train every hour to/from Windsor and two trains every hour to/from Reading via Ascot.

SWR is advising customers travelling to Twickenham from Reading or West of Reading to travel to Paddington (ticket acceptance is in place with Great Western Railway) and then use London Underground services to Waterloo.

LevellerLive understands that no service disruption is expected on GWR services that day. And better news, the RMT union informed us that they have cancelled strike action for Saturday 10th November.
