Od Arts Festival

The Od (just one “d”) Arts Festival brings together artists and audiences for a weekend of contemporary art in the villages of East and West Coker. It is a new festival and at a first attempt attracted 70 artists from a call for work which will include public artworks, performances, paintings and video.

The festival is curated by Simon Lee Dicker, director of OSR Projects (based in the Old School Room in Coker) and, artist and writer, Bob Gelsthorpe and is being supported with a grant from South Somerset District Council, the Arts Council England and local businesses.

Simon has arranged the collection of work and performance across some unusual and unexpected from a manor house to the local twineworks, in bus shelters and on the sunken paths between the villages. The festival is supported by South Somerset District Council.

The Od Arts Festival is being held Friday 11 May until Sunday 13 May across locations in East and West Coker. For more information, visit http://www.odartsfestival.co.uk or call 01935 862201. Most exhibitions and events are free of charge.
