Cabinet Reshuffle
The Leveller understands that Somerset County Council has organised a reshuffle of the Cabinet less than a year since the County Council elections in May 2017.
Sources close to the County Council tell us that David Hall has stepped down from his role of Deputy Leader of the Council to be replaced by Christine Lawrence, at least until the next County Council meeting in May. Mr Hall retains his Cabinet responsibility for Resources and Economic Development, but his “shadow” Junior Cabinet member Clare Aparicio Paul will be moved to the Corporate and Community Services brief.
Meanwhile Faye Purbrick the Junior Cabinet member for Corporate and Community Services will replace Clare at Resources and Economic Development.
