Long-serving staff celebrated at Portcullis House
On 2nd February, celebrations took place at Portcullis House to recognise five long-serving staff members. Staff, residents and family members were invited to attend the a vintage tea party, complete with vintage crockery, bunting, balloons and paper lanterns.
The five staff members have between them clocked up an impressive combined 70 years working for Somerset Care. The importance of the care home sector these days cannot be emphasised enough. From the frail and elderly to those suffering from dementia, there is an ever growing need for care workers and dedicated staff are worth their weight in gold. So congratulations to:
Paul Jones – 5 years
Maria Peppard – 10 years
Hilary Bramble – 15 years
Susan Rafferty – 15 years
Jim Gordon – 25 years
Presentations were made by Operations Manager, Sue Harvey and Portcullis House Manager, Karen Wilson.
