Football Banning Orders

Avon & Somerset Police are preparing for the start of Euro 2016 in France next month by notifying the 103 people who have football banning orders in the force area to hand in their passports. Letters have been sent to each individual explaining why they need to do this.  If this applies to you then you must surrender your passport before the deadline dates of 31st May/1st June.

Anyone that has failed to return their passport by 1 June – unless they have applied for an exemption – can expect a visit from the police, where failure to comply could result in re-arrest. Those who surrender their passports will be able to collect them at the conclusion of England’s involvement in the tournament in France.
