Over the course of the weekend Avon & Somerset Police have confirmed that the murdered man was Wilfred Isaacs of Ilton and have arrested Charlie Broadway, 23, and William (Billy) Broadway, 18, from Ilton, who have been charged with murder, attempted murder and possessing a firearm with intent to endanger life. They will appear before Yeovil Magistrates Court this morning.

On Saturday officers arrested 37-year-old John Broadway in Lichfield, Staffordshire, on suspicion of murder, attempted murder and firearms offences. Two other women who were at the same location have been arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender. All three have been brought back to the Avon and Somerset Police area for questioning.

Meanwhile late on Saturday 26-year-old Donna Broadway handed herself into an Avon and Somerset custody centre and was arrested.

A shot gun has been found and police are examining it to see if it could have been the murder weapon.

Det Supt Andy Bevan said: “This has been a fast-paced and wide-ranging investigation and I would like to again thank the local communities affected for their patience and support. We will continue to have a visible police presence at Chubbards Cross caravan site as this ongoing, complex investigation continues. Our thoughts remain with Wilfred’s family and specially trained Family Liaison Officers continue to support them through this difficult time.”
