Walking for Angel

As I sit in relative comfort writing this, Sam Pratt is setting off to Yorkshire to complete the 3 Peaks Challenge. Sam, who works for the National Animal Welfare Trust (Heavens Gate Farm) at the bottom of High Ham is trying to raise money for one of the dogs at the centre. Angel, a Staffordshire Bull Terrier has spent over a year at Heavens Gate the dog has finally found a home but she has a Parathyroid tumour and needs a vital operation in order to be able to go out and enjoy her new life that is waiting for her. The cost of the op and after care is £4000.

So Sam and team members Claire Phillips, Sophie Male and Chloe Spiller are off to raise the funds. It will be a long slog over the next couple of weeks as they walk and climb 25 miles across some pretty unwelcoming terrain.
