Sparkford Robbery
Police have begun an investigation following a robbery the Sparkford Inn on the High Street in Sparkford. The robbery at the pub took place at around 11.10pm on Thursday July 17th. Two men entered the pub, one armed with a hammer, and demanded money from a member of staff. Cash was taken from the till before the two men left in a dark-coloured vehicle.
The offenders are described variously as a white man, around 6’3-6’4” tall with a broad, muscular build and with an eastern European accent. He was wearing a dark-coloured baseball cap, a face covering obscuring the lower half of his face and dark clothing. He was also wearing black gloves and was carrying a hammer.
A second man of similar height and build was wearing a black hooded top with a pouch on the front.
We’d like to speak to anyone who recognises the description of these men or knows who they are as well as anyone who saw them leaving the area.
